With regular Internet usage, The DNS cache stores the IP addresses of web servers that contain web pages which you have recently viewed.
Sometimes these will contain obsolete information or bad results and need to be cleared to improve communication with web servers.
NOTE: Complete these steps using an Administrator Account.
You will be typing prompts into the CMD console, so it is very important that you enter the commands Exactly as shown.
The following steps are specific to Windows PC users.
If you use a Mac, learn how to reset your DNS cache straight from Apple.
Windows 10
1. Hold down the Windows Key and press X
2. Click Command Prompt (Admin).
3. When the command prompt opens
4. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
5. Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter
6. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
7. Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
8. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
9. Reboot your computer.
Windows 8.1
1. Navigate to the desktop.
2. Hold down the Windows key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
3. Type cmd and press Enter. (This will open a command prompt.)
4. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
5. Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter
6. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
7 Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
8. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
9. Reboot the computer.
Windows 7

Like the most of us, if you're into online gaming, surfing the Internet frequently, downloading / uploading data, watching movies online, Skyping, etc...
then flushing your DNS cache on a regular basis (weekly at least) can be one way to assist you in maintaining better communication / connection with the web servers.
